Hello,
My name is Maria Didenko.
I was born on the 21st of February, 1992 in Izmail village.
When I was four years old my parents were deprived of their parental rights for abusing alcohol. My father died when I was nine, and several years later my mother died as well. I lived with my grandmother practically since I was 8 months old. I was born with a diagnosis of cerebral spastic infantile paralysis. When I had to go to school I was directed to Orphanage #7 for handicapped children.
My grandmother is 73 years old. She is very sick. She is my dearest person in the whole world. After finishing school, I dream to go back to Izmail and continue my studies at Izmail Basic Medical School. Thus, I would have the possibility to be with my grandmother because she needs my help. I thank God that during my studies at the orphanage I didn’t have to worry about food and clothes. God gave me wonderful teachers and caretakers who taught us to live, love and forgive.
Thank you, Clara and UAC, for taking an active part in orphans’ lives. I ask you very much to help me get a profession. Thank you very much in advance. I dream to be a good person, a kind mother, a good specialist and to be of use for people, especially orphans.
