I am Sergey Rakov.
I was born on the 30th of July in 1991. I don’t know my mother as she left me in a maternity house. I was born with a dislocation of the hip joint. I lived in a children’s home until I was four and a half years old. Then, I was directed to Orphanage #88 and I studied there until the third grade. Then, I continued my studies at Orphanage #7 for handicapped children.
I like drawing and sports. I do amateur soccer, basketball, ping-pong, and volleyball.
While studying at the orphanage I got acquainted with wonderful people who taught me to love, to forgive, to work, to help others and to be friends with people. I grew up in a big orphanage family. By supporting me, they taught me to support others.
Three years ago, after meeting Vera Stepanovna, I learned about Clara Pascal, someone who loves and takes care of orphans. I worry about my future very much. I want to be a good specialist so I can be useful for my country and for the family that I will have one day. I also dream that there would be no orphans in the world.
I’m very grateful to you for agreeing to help me get an education. Thank you in advance. I promise to study well. I hope to enter Odessa Professional School #35, Jewelry Design Department. I dream to be a designer.
