UAC Ukraine staff members Igor Shepyeta, Alla Belaya (a.k.a. the Easter bunny!) and Irina Tishchenko recently visited Orphanage #3 to hold an Easter egg hunt and pass out Easter goody bags to the sweet toddlers there. Each week, our Scholarship Program participants help out at local Odessa orphanages in order to earn their monthly Scholarship Program stipend. The orphaned teens and young adults recently visited Boarding School #3 (a facility for children with cardiovascular problems) where they assisted with indoor and outdoor cleaning projects. Orphanage staff members are always grateful for their help!

Each month UAC Ukraine provides nearly 20 children's institutions in the Odessa region with much needed produce, hygiene items and medicine. Below are some photos of our donations to Alexandrovka Psychiatric Hospital, Slobodka Psychiatric Hospital, Orphanage #5, Orphanage #34, Fontanka Boy's Home, the Institution for Mentally Challenged Children and Lastochka TB health sanatorium for the month of February.

A special young man named Reese Pannell and his father Bill are currently raising funds to construct a brand new gymnasium for the children at Orphanage #34. Orphanage #34 is home to 160+ children with autism, Down syndrome and developmental delays. The existing gymnasium at this facility...
Boarding School #3 is home to approximately 100 young people who suffer from cardiovascular diseases. The children at this facility recently received school supplies and brand new sneakers and socks, generously donated by Mike Maguire. One of our Scholarship Program participants, Andrey Britousov, helped distribute the donations and showed some TLC to the kids who share his background. Giving was present on many levels this day!
